ML / AI Engineer
Improve retrieval, ranking, and agent quality on real company data. Experience with LLMs, embeddings, and production ML pipelines is a plus.
About the role
Saga's value depends on finding the right context and answering well from real company data. You'll improve the AI layer behind search, chat, and agents, from embeddings and retrieval to evaluation and iteration in production.
What you'll do
- Improve semantic search and retrieval quality across heterogeneous workplace data.
- Help design and refine agent behavior, tool use, and grounding in connected sources.
- Build evaluation workflows to measure answer quality, latency, and regressions.
- Maintain and extend ingestion and indexing pipelines that feed the memory layer.
- Partner with engineering and product to ship AI improvements customers can feel.
What we're looking for
- 3+ years working on ML or applied AI systems in production.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented workflows.
- Comfort deploying, monitoring, and iterating on models in real products.
- Strong intuition for data quality, edge cases, and permission-aware information access.
- Ability to explain trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical teammates.
Nice to have
- Experience building RAG systems over enterprise or workplace data.
